RESPONSIBILITIES -

TEST
Maintain accurate records all testing and investigations carried out
Generate procedures for setting up test environment
Generate test strategies, procedures and records.
Testing of the Company’s products within agreed timescales
Maintain test environment for use by all members of staff.
Investigate problems identified both internally and externally, providing detailed information to development for problem resolution.
Assist with integration testing of products that are still in development.
Provide regular updates on status of testing.
Perform interoperability testing
Perform testing of competitor products and produce competitor analysis information.

PRODUCT DOCUMENTATION
Provide technical input into Technical Author on functionality, setting up and use of product.
Assist in reviewing product documentation and providing feedback to technical author.

SUPPORT
Assist in the support of the Company’s products responding to customer problems as and when required.
Trade Shows and Customer demonstrations
Assist in the preparation and allocation of equipment for Trade Shows.
Assist in demonstrations.
Production of pilot systems and Web demonstrators
Perform Technical Presentations

REQUIREMENTS –

Experience in the configuration and maintenance of a software test environment
Experience in testing complex software systems
Familiarity with windows operating systems win95, 98, nt,2000 and unix/linux. ability to install, maintain and configure operating systems and complex software applications.
Knowledge of web based technology (iis, apache etc) and communication methods
Knowledge of asp, jsp, java servlets
Knowledge of databases sql, oracle etc
Knowledge of pki
Ability to solve and investigate problems within complex software systems
Ability to generate test strategies, test procedures, scripts and test records
Ability to communicate technical information to clients

location: South, Berkshire, Berks
salary: £30-35K
