Company Spotlight on jobs with this Portsmouth based world leader in the design of Marine Control and Navigation solutions with excellent prospects for continued growth and profitability seeks a number of real time Software Engineers ideally graduates with at least two years experience.

They design and develop Marine applications for RADAR, Navigation and Communications for both the professional and leisure industries
They have an International client base and a multi-million pound turnover.
They seek real time software engineers with hardware knowledge or appreciation to work in small project teams working on developing new and enhancing products for the commercial marine applications markets.

The salaries for these positions are negotiable, depending on experience, but will probably be in the region £25K to £30K. Travel: May be required, UK & abroad, including overnight stays. Hours: 08:15 - 17:00 - Monday to Thursday 08:15 - 13:00 - Friday (36.75 hrs) Other Aspects Willing to work additional hours as and when required. Clean driving licence.

Proficient in the use of real time embedded C, C++ Assembler Experience of real time control of small DC motors would be an advantage. Knowledge/Skills Able to demonstrate software design skills based on structured techniques eg Yourdon. Able to work to ISO 9001 TickIt standards would be an advantage . Able to use CASE tool and work within a document and version controlled environment. Knowledge of hardware design skills would be an advantage. Must be able to design in a multi-disciplined team environment (team worker with good communication skills) Proficient in the use of PC and be able to use Windows and DOS environments (Word, Excel etc.).

This is more than just a programming job so a keen commitment to solving problems at both system and software level is required.
